Die Tuberkulose (TB) bleibt in Deutschland eine relevante Gesundheitsherausforderung. Bereits vor dem Krieg mit der Russischen Föderation durchgeführte Audits der EU-Kommission zur Lebensmittelsicherheit in der Ukraine deckten bereits damals bestehende Defizite auf. Es ist anzunehmen, dass sich diese durch den Konflikt noch verschärft haben. 31/130 (23,8%) aller Rückweisungen von Lebensmitteln aus der Ukraine im internationalen Verkehr (von Aug. 2022 bis Juli 2023) betrafen verschimmelte Futtermittel, gefolgt von Pestizidrückständen in verschiedenen Produkten mit 26/130 Fällen (20%).
