It’s estimated over two thirds of today’s global medical decisions depend on laboratory test results, underscoring the essential contribution of laboratory medicine professionals. This year’s focus for European Laboratory Day is shining a spotlight on the skills, diversity and resilience of the professionals behind key healthcare decisions. From diagnostics to disease monitoring, their contributions have never been more vital, especially in light of recent global health challenges. European Laboratory Day will recognise the essential role these healthcare professionals play in supporting Europe’s healthcare systems, driving medical innovation, and safeguarding public health.
The European Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (EFLM) connects national societies of clinical chemistry and laboratory medicine and creates a platform for all European Specialists in Laboratory Medicine.
